With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Miguel Angel Duran Ponce, who passed away on May 21st, 2024. Miguel, born on May 31st, 1955, was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
Miguel is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria Ponce, their bond was a testament to enduring love and companionship.
Miguel found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid fisherman, he spent countless hours by the water, finding peace in the rhythm of the waves and the anticipation of a bite. His passion for fishing was surpassed only by his love for laughter. As a natural comedian, Miguel brought smiles to the faces of those around him. His quick wit and infectious sense of humor left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of sharing a moment with him.
Beyond his comedic talents, Miguel was a loyal San Francisco 49ers fan, cheering on his team with unwavering dedication through every victory and defeat.
Miguel touched the lives of many with his gentle spirit and unwavering kindness. Miguel was a devoted family man, always putting the needs of others before his own. His laughter, wisdom, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his beloved wife, Miguel is survived by his siblings Ruth Ponce-Carranza, Manuel Phillip Ponce, Jose Manuel Ponce, and Antonio Ponce, who will cherish his memory forever.
Miguel is survived by his three sons Miguel Angel Ponce, Daniel Ponce, and Alex Ponce. He leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire generations to come.
Alongside his sons, Miguel is survived by five grandchildren, Syrena Vargas, Daniel Jr. Ponce, Antonio Ponce, Jayden Ponce, and Eliana Ponce. Each grandchild brought joy and laughter to Miguels life. He also leaves behind 4 great-grandchildren.
Though he may be gone from our sight, Miguel's memory will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace."
