Matilda Castillo Velazquez

Matilda Castillo Velazquez passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026 surrounded by her family at the age of 49.
On January 4, 1977, Matilda was born to her parents Felix "Jito" and Irene Castillo. She was the third born to her siblings: Cynthia, Ernie, and Paula. Matilda grew up in Stockton, CA where she attended school. In 2020, Matilda met the love of her life, Xavier.

To many, Matilda was their babysitter. She loved everyone and made everyone feel loved. She had a heart as big as the sky with an attitude to match it. Matilda was there for everyone no matter how she felt and she would put everyone before herself.

Matilda was very creative, she loved to make things doing DIY's for her family. She also enjoyed listening to audio books. What she loved most was spending time with her family, especially her nephew, baby Xavier.

Matilda is survived by her mother Irene, boyfriend Xavier, Sisters Cindy and Paula and brother Ernie & wife Selina Castillo, 13 nieces and nephews, 21 great nieces and nephews, 2 great great nieces, God children, and a host of cousins, aunts and uncles who she loved dearly.
Matilda is preceded in Heaven by her father Jito, grandmother "Welita" and grandfather "Papa Felix" Castillo, grandmother Cipriana grandmother
Micaela grandfather Pops Jess Rodriguez, her nina Elena, her tia Carolina and uncle Albert.

Matilda will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
