Obituary
Our dear mother Maria Augusta Gomes sadly passed away on June 3rd, 2023 at the age of 70.
She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many
friends and was a well-loved member of the Portuguese community. She is preceded in death
by her parents Joaquin Oliveira and Maria Meneses and survived by her husband of 48 years
Jose Gomes and two daughters Anna Loera (Ruben Loera), Elizabeth Gomes (Gabriel
Gonzales), 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The recitation of the rosary will be held Monday June 12th, 2023 at 5:30pm at Zapata Funeral
home 445 N American St, Stockton CA 95202.
Funeral services will be held the following day Tuesday June 13th, 10am at St. Bernadette’s
Catholic Church 2544 Plymouth Rd, Stockton CA 95204
Burial services will be held following the mass at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery
719 E Harding Way, Stockton 95204.
