MELVIN EUGENE THOMPSON

Melvin Eugene Thompson
Born November 28th 1945, in French Camp, CA.
Melvin (Mel) grew up in Orphanages and Foster care. He did not know the love or meaning of family until the age of 20, when he married the love of his life, Reyna Thompson Gutierrez. They had two daughters, Debra and Laura, and one grandson, Angelo.
He was a hard-working man and a very talented locksmith and safe specialist. Mel was the owner/operator of his company, Mel’s Safe & Lock for 40 years. He loved his community, served on the Neighborhood Watch and Drug Task Force, and partnered with the City of Stockton to remove graffiti and construct speed-bumps.
Mel was preceded in death by his Mother in Love, Genoveva Gutirrez (Nana).
