Kashmirajan Diaz Obituary

On Sunday evening August 25, 2024, our beautiful beloved mother, Kashmira-Jan Roza Diaz, surrounded with love from her family, peacefully entered the Lord’s warm embrace and reunited with her parents in heaven. Born March 5th, 1944, in Dearborn, MI, she was the beloved daughter of Roza Correia, Cabo Verdean, from New Bedford, MA, and Najeem Khan from Kamalpur Musa, Pakistan. She spent most of her life in Stockton, CA, where she dedicated herself to God and her family.

Mom lived a simple, humble life, but her generosity knew no bounds. No matter how little she had, she always found a way to provide food and shelter for those she loved. She was the first to step up and help, taking in young families and women in need from her church. She had empathy for others, was honored to help others find solace in challenging times. She was an incredible cook, and her food felt like a warm hug. We’ll always cherish the memories of her delicious Curry Chicken and Paratha, Jag, Chicana, Rice and Beans and softest flour tortillas ever, family recipes passed down from her parents and loved ones.

Mom also enjoyed, bible study, poetry, music, hanging with her sisters and Amigas, shaking her tail feathers, gardening and embroidery, She was funny, considerate, kind, warm and had a heart that was always open to everyone. Though she lived quietly, her kindness and love made a big impact on those around her. We’ll miss her dearly, but we find peace knowing she’s with her lord and savior, mother and father, watching over us with the same love she always gave.

She joins: her Parents, Najeem Khan, Roza Khan, her brother Joseph Khan, nephew and godson Daniel Frank Roderick. Leaving behind: 6 siblings, Mary Jean Roderick, Bernice Fenley, Najim Khan, Mohammedin Khan, Gaylene Khan, Robert Khan, her 3 children, Michael R. Khan, Elizabeth Diaz-Locquiao, Estella Diaz, 7 grandchildren, Aleah Bocar, Robert Zepeda, Emiliano Zepeda, Kashmir Hernandez, Anna Alejo, Elysette Locquiao, Noa Locquiao, 1 great grandson Iman Oziah Bonillas and many loved Nieces and Nephews.

Rest in heavenly peace, Mommy.
