Jesus Campos

Jesus Campos was born on September 22, 2001 in Fairfax, Virginia. He was brought into this world by his mother Esperanza and father Ernesto. At the age of 6, Jesus and his sister Leslie moved to California to join their aunts, uncles, cousins of the Guerrero family as well as the Vargas, his bonus family. Ever since Jesus was a young boy, he was known for bringing everybody together whether it was with his bright smile or his funny mannerisms. He was known for always having a positive attitude, even in the face of adversity. Jesus’s passions included spending time with his family and friends, playing soccer, and outings with his girlfriend Maryan. Jesus had a dream of pursuing a career in the medical field by becoming a nurse or doctor, so that he too could provide the same compassion and care he received throughout his time as a patient. Jesus’s life came to an end on April 3, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. Though his life ended too soon, he has given us love and memories that will last a lifetime. May we always hold him close to our hearts, and spend our days shining light to loved ones and strangers, just as he would have. We would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Oaklands children’s hospital who provided him with love, care, compassion, and advocated for him until his last days. Thank you to everybody who has provided a helping hand throughout this difficult journey and has sent love and prayers our way. May Jesus rest in peace, love, and joy.

Jesús Campos nació el 22 de septiembre de 2001 en Fairfax, Virginia. Fue el fruto del amor entre su madre Esperanza y su padre Ernesto. A la edad de 6 años, Jesús y su hermana Leslie se mudaron a California para reunirse con sus tías, tíos, y primos de la familia Guerrero y Vargas, su familia adicional. Desde que Jesús era un niño, era conocido por unir a todos, ya fuera con su brillante sonrisa o sus gestos divertidos. Se caracterizó por tener siempre una actitud positiva, incluso ante la adversidad. A Jesús le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos, jugar fútbol y salir con su novia Maryan. Jesús tenía el sueño de seguir una carrera en el campo de la medicina convirtiéndose en enfermero o médico, para que él también pudiera brindar la misma compasión y atención que recibió durante su tiempo como paciente. La vida de Jesús llegó a su fin el 3 de abril de 2023 después de una larga batalla contra el cáncer. Aunque su vida terminó demasiado pronto, nos ha dado amor y recuerdos que durarán toda la vida. Que siempre lo tengamos cerca de nuestro corazón y pasemos nuestros días iluminando a nuestros seres queridos y extraños, tal como él lo hubiera hecho. Nos gustaría agradecer especialmente al personal del Oakland’s childrens hospital quele proporcionó con amor, cuidado, compasión y abogó por él hasta sus últimos días. Gracias a todos los que han brindado una mano amiga a lo largo de este difícil viaje y nos han enviado amor y oraciones. Que Jesús descanse en paz, amor y alegría.
