It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of Guadalupe Muela de Hernandez. Guadalupe was born on May 3rd, 1924, in Rancho los Garcia, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was raised with love and care by her mother Isabel Muela, and stepfather Jesus Corrales. Guadalupe was the oldest of three children, alongside her two brothers, Ramon Muela(✞) and Fermin Corrales(✞). Guadalupe had an early childhood filled with love and joy. However, after the passing of her stepfather, at just 10 years old, she took on the responsibility of working as a maid to help provide for her family.

In 1942, at the age of 18, Guadalupe married Francisco Hernandez and together, they were blessed with 10 children: Ruben Hernandez (✞), Gloria Hernandez, Francisco Hernandez (✞), Ephigenia Hernandez (✞), Alfredo Hernandez, Margarita Hernandez, Maria Hernandez, Edwiges Hernandez, Esther Hernandez, and Jose Luis Hernandez. Guadalupe was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to raising her children and ensuring they were always well cared for. She was a provider who worked tirelessly washing laundry for neighbors, making and selling tamales, and cleaning homes to provide for her family. Her unwavering motivation every day was to ensure her children were fed and cared for.

Throughout her life, Guadalupe's faith remained steadfast despite financial and emotional hardships. She was known to be constantly praying for her family’s protection and wellbeing. As her sons left for the United States to work, she would pray for their safe return, praying everyday and trusting in the Lord, despite the uncertainty of their safety.

Guadalupe eventually migrated to the United States where her and her family settled in Lodi, California. Guadalupe continued her role as a homemaker while her children worked in the fields of the Central Valley. As her children grew older and began to have families of their own, Guadalupe became the most giving and loving grandmother and became “Abuelita.” From packing lunches for baseball games to swimming at Blakely's Park, cooking delicious meals daily, and spending Christmas and summer at “el rancho” in Chihuahua, Mexico, Guadalupe created countless cherished memories for her grandchildren. Despite becoming wheelchair bound later in life, she continued dancing, coloring, and played balloon volleyball with a vibrant and energetic spirit. Guadalupe’s love and care left a memorable mark on the lives of her grandchildren and beyond.

Guadalupe was a pillar of faith and resilience, embodying the virtues of strength and devotion throughout her life. She gave her life to Christ in the 1980s, and ministered into the lives of everyone she touched, praying for family, strangers, and opening her home to her children’s friends in need despite not having much to offer. In her later years of life, even as her health declined, she continued to sing and praise the Lord with all her heart.

Guadalupe Muela de Hernandez is survived by her children, Gloria Hernandez de Martinez, Alfredo Hernandez, Margarita Hernandez de Lopez, Maria Hernandez de Baeza, Edwiges Hernandez, Esther Hernandez, and Jose Luis Hernandez. She leaves behind a tremendous legacy in her 28 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and 34 great-great-grandchildren.

Guadalupe’s life was a testament to the power of faith, love, and perseverance. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.

Con profundo respeto y gran pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Guadalupe Muela de Hernández, nacida el 3 de mayo de 1924 en Rancho los García, Chihuahua, México. Guadalupe fue criada con amor y cuidado por su madre Isabel Muela y su padrastro Jesús Corrales. Ella fue la mayor de tres hijos, junto a sus dos hermanos, Ramón Muela(✞) y Fermín Corrales(✞).

Guadalupe hablaba con cariño de su infancia, llena de amor y alegría, hasta el fallecimiento de su padrastro cuando tenía solo 10 años. A tan temprana edad, asumió la responsabilidad de trabajar como empleada doméstica para ayudar a mantener a su familia.

En el año 1942, Guadalupe se casó con Francisco Hernández, y juntos fueron bendecidos con 10 hijos: Rubén Hernández (✞), Gloria Hernández, Francisco Hernández (✞), Efigenia Hernández (✞), Alfredo Hernández, Margarita Hernández, María Hernández, Edwiges Hernández, Esther Hernández, y José Luis Hernández. Guadalupe fue el epítome de una ama de casa devota, dedicando su vida a criar a sus hijos y asegurándose de que siempre estuvieran bien cuidados. Trabajó incansablemente, lavando ropa para los vecinos, haciendo y vendiendo tamales, y limpiando casas para mantener a su familia. Su motivación constante cada día era asegurar que sus hijos estuvieran alimentados y cuidados.

A lo largo de su vida, la fe de Guadalupe se mantuvo firme, incluso en medio de dificultades financieras y emocionales. A medida que sus hijos se fueron a los Estados Unidos a trabajar, ella oraba por su regreso seguro, orando cada día y confiando en el Señor, a pesar de la incertidumbre sobre la seguridad de sus hijos. Guadalupe eventualmente emigró a los Estados Unidos, donde ella y su familia se establecieron en Lodi, California. Guadalupe fue un pilar de fe y resiliencia, personificando las virtudes de la fuerza y la devoción a lo largo de su vida.Entregó su vida a Cristo en la década de 1980 y ministró en las vidas de todos los que tocó, orando por su familia, extraños, y abriendo su hogar a los amigos de sus hijos que lo necesitaban, a pesar de no tener mucho que ofrecer. En sus últimos años de vida, incluso cuando su salud declinó, continuó cantando y alabando al Señor con todo su corazón.

Guadalupe Muela de Hernández deja atrás a sus hijos, Gloria Hernández de Martínez, Alfredo Hernández, Margarita Hernández de López, María Hernández de Baeza, Edwiges Hernández, Esther Hernández, y José Luis Hernández. Deja un legado tremendo en sus 28 nietos, 62 bisnietos, y 34 tataranietos.

La vida de Guadalupe fue un testimonio del poder de la fe, el amor, y la perseverancia. Su legado continuará viviendo en los corazones de su familia y de todos los que tuvieron la bendición de conocerla.
