Gary Gershon Obituary

Gary N. Gershon was born on December 14, 1946 and passed away in his sleep on January 27, 2022. Gary went to Clare High School and then attended Central Michigan University, earning a degree in political science and psychology. Gary also attended the University of Michigan and Hastings Law School, graduating with his Juris Doctorate. Gary practiced law in Michigan and California. In Michigan, Gary worked in Grand Rapids at Legal Aid of Western Michigan and the Michigan Migrant Legal Assistance Project. Gary also worked at the California Rural Legal Assistance office in Stockton, California. Gary was committed to justice and working for others who did not have a voice. He was a member of the NAACP and worked with Fathers and Families of San Joaquin recently. Gary enjoyed movies, music, good food and books. Gary leaves behind his daughter, Amelia, and sister, Jami (Tom). Gary also leaves behind his numerous friends and community members he helped.
