Faith Mao-Redwine Obituary

Faith Heaven Mao-Redwine, born on April 3, 2003 at Dameron Hospital to her late Mother, Sary Mao, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 in Stockton, California at 19 years old.Her name, “Faith Heaven” was purposely chosen because of Sary's deep belief in Christ. As a toddler, Faith had an adorable chocolate heart-shaped face with pouty lips, happy yet quiet, watchful eyes and a soft raspy voice. She was the second daughter and middle child of Sary’s five children. Faith was the heart of the family, loyal and devoted to those she loved. Ladon, her brother, always remembers an endearing moment when Faith began to cry because she could not console her nephew, Tedros. Magine, Faith’s oldest sister, remembers how much she loved to watch her kids swim and showered them with toys and treats. They are thankful for her loving memories and wishes that will live on forever. Faith had a big presence, positive energy and radiant light that would make people gravitate to her. She was always ready to flash a goofy smile, crack a joke, and then follow up with her contagious laugh. Overall, Faith was a people-pleaser and able to forgive those who made mistakes against her. She was admired for her courageousness, always speaking her truth and because of that was not afraid of anything or anyone. Some of Faith’s favorite treats she enjoyed were hot cheetos, sour straws, gummies, skittles, and anything from Starbucks. She loved eating salami, and sometimes it would be the only thing she would eat all day. Sprite was her favorite drink and it had to be from McDonalds because as she would say, “it would just hit different”. She loved burritos from her favorite taco truck in Stockton, arguing that Stockton had the best Mexican food. Described as a homebody, Faith loved the show, “Joseline’s Cabaret” and could watch the same episodes over and over again. One of her favorite movies was, “The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete” and would want everyone to watch it with her. One of her favorite books was, “A Piece of Cake" by Cupcake Brown. Faith would vlog as if she had a YouTube channel and made so many videos, however was too shy to upload them to YouTube. Faith never gave up on pursuing her goals and was proud of her efforts in becoming an independent adult. One of her goals was to get her driver's license. She never hesitated in utilizing the benefits and support given by various programs to guide her into adulthood. Her immense passion for self-love and self-care did not go unnoticed and she was a natural at braiding hair. Faith never left the house without her eyelashes on or taking the opportunity to “glam up”.Faith was on track to earn a high school diploma in October,2022. She had plans to go on to Cosmetology school and move back to Sacramento, California. We have no doubt that Faith would have made an excellent Hair Stylist.Anyone who knew Faith, knew that she was a special soul. She was taken from us before her time and lived her life to the fullest, every single day. Faith was a strong young woman and had given her best, all her life. She had been through a lot, yet will always be known as a survivor. Faith is predeceased by her mother, Sary Mao. She is survived by grandparents Saveth and Charles; siblings Magine, Ladon, Quentin and Gabriel; nephews Darren Jr., Tedros and Dedun; uncle Gabriel; aunties Savy, Sony, Sophia and Satah and cousins Kwame, Lelah, Tatiana, Skyler, Taliyah and Sky.

We would like to honorably mention the adopted families and friends for the astounding love and support given to Faith over the years. A special thanks to a close and dear friend, Monica for sharing the photos, videos, and memories of Faith. Let's take solace knowing Faith is not alone but with her mother in heaven.
