Anthony M. Rosaz Sr., 73, a lifelong resident of Stockton, CA sadly passed away passed while surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
He was born on March 1, 1952, in Salinas, California, and moved to Stockton with his family five years later in 1957.
Anthony attended St. Mary’s High School, graduating with the Class of 1970. He attended Delta College and later went on to earn his teaching credential from National University. In 1989, he began a long and dedicated career with the Stockton Unified School District. He served as a campus security monitor and later as a truancy outreach specialist, roles in which he supported and guided countless students. He retired in 2009 after 20 years of service.
Known by many as DJ Raps, Anthony had a lifelong love for music. Another passion close to his heart was coaching—he proudly coached both baseball and football, inspiring young athletes with his encouragement, discipline, and commitment.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Rosaz, sister Jean Rosaz, his two children, Anthony M. Rosaz Jr. and Anastasia Perez; stepdaughters Cynthia Guerra and Sharee Guerra; and his cherished grandchildren Aneseia Sanchez, Manuel E. Rosaz, Elias Rosaz, Alexis Fandrich, Aria Perez, Oriyana Yang, Candido Martinez. And three great grandchildren Ariyah Rosaz, Kenzo and Mazirei Yang. As well as, many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Esequiel and Dolores Rosaz, his sister Patricia Rosaz, and his brother Mario Rosaz Sr.
Anthony will be remembered for his kindness, humor, dedication to young people, and the joy he found in music, family, and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Zapata‘s Funeral Home located at 445 N. American St., Stockton, CA on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
